Biography
I am an Internal Research Fellow at ESRIN’s Science Hub working in the Biodiversity Science cluster. I have a background in Environmental Engineering followed by a PhD in Remote Sensing for Humanitarian Applications. I have experience working for the UN and for NGO in field missions. My previous experiences included work on land cover, climate data, and applications of EO in displacement contexts. In the three years prior my Research Fellowship in ESA, I was working as an external consultant for the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission. At the JRC my research focused on forest, forest disturbances and forest resilience and its correlation with forest structural diversity.
Research
In my Research Fellowship at ESRIN’s Science Hub I would like to deepen my understanding of the interlinkages between forest resilience, disturbances, and diversity.
